Halloween Haunt at Kings Dominion is a fan favorite across the state and visitors return year after year for a new take on their best scares. Hundreds of monsters will be unleashed, making the most terrifying nightmares come alive. Featuring a terrifying lineup of thrilling rides, haunted mazes, terrifying scare zones, and the spookiest live shows, fear is waiting for you around every corner.
Kings Dominion's Halloween Haunt is sure to hit a new scare factor this year in the new scare zone as the park transforms into Halloween Haunt. Go once or multiple times with a season pass for an unforgettable night and one of Virginia's best Halloween activities for teens and adults. As the light turns to dark, the monsters emerge as Halloween Haunt returns. This nighttime Halloween event is not for the faint of heart, as monsters own the keys to the park and dare you to enter through our bone-chilling scare mazes.
Kings Dominion’s Halloween Haunt 2023 Updates
There are a few changes from last year, so be sure to read all the details for Halloween Haunt Night to be prepared for your visit this fall! Like other Cedar Fair parks, it also features the Fright Lane option. These exclusive encounters are unique to every park and everyone is a bit different. Never know what you're going to have to do or get through to advance, so be warned you have to really be prepared at every turn and corner.
What is the Best Age for Halloween Haunt at Kings Dominion?
This Halloween event is way too intense for young children. Parental discretion is advised for tweens and teens.
All guests ages 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old in order to be admitted to, or remain in, the park for Halloween Haunt. The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth at ticket entry.
One chaperone may accompany no more than ten guests ages 15 or younger per day. In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during their visit, and be available by phone throughout their stay. Guests ages 15 years old or younger who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone will be subject to ejection.
What rides are open during Kings Dominion's Halloween Haunt?
Fast Pass during Kings Dominion Halloween Haunt: Your Fast Lane pass will work during fall daytime OR Halloween Haunt but not both. However, if you have a Season Pass Fast Lane, it does include both events and must be redeemed for each. Guests will love night rides on some of your favorite rides like Intimidator 305, Twisted Timbers, and Tumbili.
Scare Zones at Halloween Haunt Kings Dominion
Scare Zones are located throughout the park where actors await in amazing costumes to provide good scares at every wrong turn. The skeleton crew will provide years of fear and the screams of other visitors will have you on edge as you bypass the clan of distraught witches and the voodooo queen dreams of times. This year's Halloween Haunt will have new actors in this top theme parks haunts to keep you on your toes. If being scared and spooked is your thing, then this great adventure awaits. Late September tickets are booking so be sure to book your date so you dont miss Haunted houses like the Cleaver Brothers Carnival and other theme park haunts.

The park closes for daytime hours to give families and younger children time to safely exit the park before it transitions to Halloween Haunt.
Tickets to Halloween Haunt Kings Dominion
Admission during fall daytime operating hours and Halloween Haunt require separate tickets. You can purchase a combo ticket with admission to daytime and Halloween Haunt. old, Platinum and Prestige Season Passes include unlimited fall daytime visits and Halloween Haunt visits.
You definitely want to buy tickets for Halloween Haunt at Kings Dominion online, to get half off of gate price for a much better deal. Note that the date you buy for the Halloween Haunt ticket is not changeable, so be prepared for weather etc.
Guests can also purchase a fright lane pass which works similarly to a fast pass to skip the line.
During Halloween Haunt costumes, masks or face paints of any kind are not permitted.
Bag Policy During Kings Dominion Halloween haunt:
During Halloween Haunt only clear plastic bags smaller than 12” x 12” x 6” as well as non-clear wristlets or clutches no larger than 5”x 8”x 2” are allowed at Kings Dominion. All bags are subject to search prior to entry. Guests already in the park with bags will be searched upon readmission and must meet the previously listed requirements.
