Pre Requisites

  1. Age Requirement: The program is typically open to children between the ages of 5 and 9. This age range ensures that participants are developmentally ready for the physical and cognitive aspects of learning hockey.

  2. First-Time Participants: The program is intended for first-time hockey players who have not previously been registered with USA Hockey or participated in an organized hockey program. This ensures that all first-time ltp participants are beginners and can learn the basics together.

  3. Basic Skills and Skating Ability: While advanced skating skills are not required, it is helpful if participants have some basic skating ability. This includes being able to stand on skates, move forward, and maintain balance. Additionally, the program includes a full set of hockey gear, which ensures that every child is properly ready with free head to toe equipment to play safely.

This full gear package includes hockey skates, a helmet with a cage, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, shin pads / guards, hockey pants, a jersey, equipment bag and a stick. This is a phenomenal deal for equipment kits and the full hockey gear alone in this program would cost over 1,000 dollars, so if your child wants to play hockey this participation fee and equipment package is a deal you will not ever see otherwise.
